Saturday was a nice warm sunny day for the Anna Marie Island Privateers and just a “few” fun friends riding the Skullywag for a pubcrawl. Pubs included Tommy Knockers on Anna Marie Island, Peggy’s Corral and Jaxx Playbook. What’s not to like living in Florida!
With our last name being MCLAUGHLIN we like to search out true IRISH pubs and we definitely found the real deal at O’Brien’s – Irish Pub & Grill in Brandon, Fl. The food was good, the service excellent and it’s an all around neighborhood pub where you can meet new friends or enjoy a ‘pint’ with old ones! This is a Veteran owned establishment serving veterans and veteran organizations around the Tampa Bay area.
So, stop in and say HELLO and have some ‘fish and chips’ while you are out Christmas shopping and support local restaurants with such great community ties! They have already started their count down until St. Patrick’s Day!!! – it’s 89 days from today 12/17/18!

Sun City Center got its start as a “Del Webb” community, meaning it is a 55+ community including anything you might want or need, only 25 miles south of Tampa. Over 11,000 people now live in Sun City Center. Not only do we have affordable homes, we also have retail shopping, restaurants, gas stations, lakes, golf, dog park, banks, grocery stores, churches – pretty much anything you would want and its all accessible by golf carts! How fun is that! This is a very active lifestyle with generally 300 days of sunshine!
For more detailed information go to http://www.suncitycenter.org or just give me a call at 410-991-7110-cell or email me at email@example.com and I will be very happy to tell you all about our community. Better yet, come for a visit and I will personally give you a tour of Sun City Center!

It doesn’t get much better than this! A clear, warm night in Apollo Beach, Fl., watching the Christmas-decorated boats show off their creativity. Crowds gathered to join in the fun. If you plan to go next year, I would definitely suggest going early as we did. We sat on the outside terrace and enjoyed the view, food and a few cocktails with friends.
With all the fun things to do here in the sunshine state, I decided to go back into the Real Estate field to help those who share my passion for – “Living Life To The Fullest” – find a home and enjoy the relaxing lifestyle!
I recently joined Keller Williams Realty, South Shore in Apollo Beach, Fl., to do just that! What better way to share my enthusiasm for living in Florida than telling everyone I know and meet.
If you are ready to enjoy life, with no stress, and just have fun, call me or email and I will definitely help you find the best home for you!

I had the pleasure of being with Sue & Pete Shields, Owners of S&S Tropical Group Rentals, who made a generous donation to the Anna Maria Privateers. Their donation will help fund scholarships and kid’s organizations.
The Privateers really get in the ‘mood’ dressing in Privateer attire! The “ship” can been seen around the Island for various events. Pub Crawls are a blast! This is a non-profit organization and the crew members go out of their way to make every event fun! You never know when you will see the “Skullywag Ship” driving down the highway, but when you do – Wave!
What better way to see all of Treasure Island than parasailing over it at 400 ft in the air! Make the most of your vacation and do something totally out of the ordinary – Make Memories! Book your experience with Gators Parasail at Johns Pass in Madeira Beach and have the time of your life!
Tibby’s is the most ‘fun’ place to enjoy New Orleans culture and food! Along SR60 in Brandon, Florida sits a unique, colorful New Orleans restaurant. From the time you enter you feel like you are actually in New Orleans! The food is great, service wonderful and the pictures and artifacts are straight from New Orleans. Some pieces are salvaged from the destruction by Katrina. These pictures don’t do the restaurant justice. You have to visit to appreciate the décor. Menu includes dishes like Muffaletta spring rolls, Alligator Street Tacos, Rita’s Lemon Chicken, and of course etouffe, shrimp creole with red beans and rice! Yum
Tibby’s is located at 1721 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Fl. 33511
The Blu Mangrove is one of my favorite places to sit on the outside patio with friends while enjoying a warm Florida afternoon. The Marina sits on the Manatee River and you can come by land or water, as dockside parking is available. Happy Hour is everyday starting at 11am ’til 6pm.
A favorite appetizer for me is the Ahi Tuna Wonton cups! The wonton cups are filled with seaweed salad, ahi tuna and topped with ginger and wasabi. 3 cups will run about $14.00.
Add an order of Doc’s Fish spread with tortilla chips for $10.00 and you have a meal!
Dinners are a little pricey, however; the presentation and taste are exquisite!
Have fun in the sun in Florida and visit these great hidden gems! Blu Mangrove is located at 102 Riviera Way, Palmetto, Fl. 34221, in the Riviera Dunes Marina.
